Know which of your virtual instruments are CPU-heavy (synthesizers that compute sound in real-time: Diva, Repro, Acustica synths) vs RAM/disk-heavy (sample-based: Kontakt libraries, Omnisphere, Superior Drummer). CPU-heavy instruments benefit from track freezing. RAM-heavy instruments need fast SSDs and sufficient RAM (32GB+ recommended for orchestral work).
